How does the game work?

You are a farmer who needs to survive inflation. By harvesting crop tiles, you earn a specific amount of money, however there is an ever increasing rate of money loss you will have to deal with. This means you must harvest as many crops as possible while avoiding obstacles (rocks) which if hit, will cause you to lose a a life. When money is right, enter the menu and buy higher quality crops which will give more money per harvest. Additionally you could also buy more lives to survive more rock collision mistakes. The game ends when you either run out of money or lives, and the final score is displayed on the bottom screen. This is a time based game, so act quickly and efficiently to maximize your score before the game ends.

Origin

This project was originally a simple arcade game I made in 2022 back in sophomore year highschool. The game was originally built with an Arduino nano, breadboards, jumper wires, and a few other spare components. I found great joy in developing this game and eventually I wrote hundreds of lines of code. There was no sustainable storage or design for the project however, so over the years it has fallen apart. As I come back to this project 4 years later, I have decided to robustify.
